Official feedback from my short life research project was very positive - “The paper you produced formed the basis for an interesting and informed discussion during the University’s Corporate Management Team away-day last week. You were able to produce a remarkably detailed piece of work during a short time period, at very short notice, and this was greatly appreciated.”
I attended the New to Teaching in the Social Sciences workshop on 11th January 2013 at Radisson Blu Hotel, Glasgow. It was a great opportunity to meet other PhD students from universities across Scotland and learn about teaching. I picked up lots of useful tips which I will be able to put to good use in my own teaching environment. I also attended Iro training events for Ethics and NVivo completed in January,2013
I have been present as student representative at the EHSS Learning and Teaching Forum meetings as we try to develop a proposal for the delivery of global citizenship provision across the university.
Academic writing workshops with Professor Ross Deuchar have been invaluable and I am awaiting feedback from my first article submission in conjunction with Dr Neil McPherson.
